SOS Group, which supplies digital office equipment, related software and support, recently installed a copier printer scanner at Woodhorn Lane.
Launched in 2002, the North East-based company works with businesses from start-ups to multi-nationals and has a strong reputation in the sports industry.
In the last year, it has provided digital office equipment services at competitions including the Special Olympics GB National Games, World Para Athletics Championships and the IAAF World Athletics Championships.
John Behan, director at SOS Group, says: “The match programme is much more than just a traditional and well-loved part of going to watch football. It’s a vital tool for communicating between the club and fans.
“This new technology will help in the day-to-day running of the club and, because it can automatically print, fold and staple, will make printing the match programme much quicker and easier. “We’re very proud to help support Ashington in continuing to produce ‘The Collier’ and we wish the club all the best for this season.”
Chairman Brian Shotton “I am delighted we are working with SOS Group to supply our printer copier. Myself and Gav Perry met with SOS and were delighted to come to a quick agreement. This enables the club to print our match programmes in house following a number of years of outsourcing and finding other ways to produce them which were impractical. The match programme is an important part of the day for many football supporters and I’m pleased we are now in a position to produce as many as we need on match days to satisfy demand.”
